A couple of Februaries ago, we were standing around outside…

…with no coats oh, in Annandale, Virginia. A far cry from this year! DMH017

We’re coming back to the Athenaeum in Alexandria, Virginia to perform a special program tied to the launch of “Mercy Street,” the new PBS show that looks at life in a Civil War hospital. Watch this space for more details!

“For Auld Lang Syne, my dear…”

Thanks to Catherine Aselford at the Athenaeum for this NYE shot from the back of the room!

Last Show of 2014: Sunday, November 23

Please come on out to Jammin Java on Sunday for an afternoon of Americana and bluegrass from us, Smoke n’ Mangos and Andy Michaels. Tickets can be purchased here. We’d love to see you once more before the holiday madness commences! Things get rollin’ at 12:30; we’re the second of the three acts to perform.

Tonight! Walk-up Tickets Remain for Capitol Hill show…

Tonight, November 1, 2014, we’ll be doing a couple of sets heavy on murder and mayhem, in keeping with the season. The venue informs me that a handful of $20 walk-up tickets remain for the 7pm show (doors 6:30). Come on out and get your creepy on! We’ve dusted off some old spine-tinglers and will debut at least one ghost story set to music…

Here’s the venue. BOO!

September 27, 2014: A Few Tickets Now Available

We’re playing a private benefit on Capitol Hill, DC for the Capitol Hill Day School on this day, from 5pm til sunset. There’ll be barbecue, beer and bluegrass for all! Tickets are $75 each; please note this is NOT a child-friendly event. We love ’em, too, but that’s the way it goes.

Please reach out to sryan@chds.org if you would like to get more info and/or buy tickets.

DMH Summer Update

Hello friends!

We’re launching not one but THREE band offspring to college in August, so by choice our summer is light on gigs.

We do have one coming up next month in Arlington, VA with our friends from the Guillotine Theater. Please consider coming out to Lubber Run Amphitheater on July 13 if you can; we’ll be doing our Civil War Songs and Letters show that night.

Know that we are working on new stuff, booking shows for the fall and winter now, and even preparing for our 10th Anniversary party/gig at a venue near [some of] you. More details on that as we hammer them down.

Love,

Amy, Belinda, Caryn, Jared, Marcy and Mike
